How do I clean and tune up and old desk fan?I recently bought a vintage 40’s or 50’s desk fan at a flea market. It does run – but there is excessive noise and it kind of runs faster, then slower, then faster. What type of maintenance could I do to it to tune it up? It looks like a pretty simple electric motor.
