Varalakshmi Vrat is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi,the consort of Vishnu. It is an important pooja or vrat is performed by married woman for the well being of their husband.It is believed that performing Varalakshmi Homam on this day is equivalent to Worshipping Ashtalakshmi-the eight goddess.
